  • Usage Data: Pages visited, features used, time spent on the service
  • Device Information: Browser type, operating system, IP address
  • Cookies: Session cookies for authentication and functionality

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide and maintain the MakerProof service
  • Generate and update your revenue widgets
  • Process payments and manage subscriptions
  • Send important service updates and notifications
  • Improve our service and develop new features

  • Comply with legal obligations

Stripe Data Handling

  • We only access Stripe data using read-only API keys you provide
  • We retrieve only the minimum data needed: MRR, subscriber count, and subscription status
  • We never access customer personal information, payment methods, or transaction details
  • Stripe data is encrypted in transit and at rest
  • We sync data at intervals (24 hours for Free, 5 minutes for Pro)
  • You can revoke API access anytime by deleting your API key in Stripe

Data Storage and Security

  • All data is encrypted using industry-standard encryption (AES-256)
  • API keys are stored securely with additional encryption layers
  • We use secure HTTPS connections for all data transmission
  • Database access is restricted and monitored
  • Regular security audits and updates are performed

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data only in these limited circumstances:

  • Service Providers: Trusted third parties who help operate our service (Clerk for auth, Stripe for payments, Vercel for hosting)

Your Widget Data

  • Widgets you generate are publicly accessible when embedded
  • Widget embed codes contain only display data, not your API keys
  • You control what data appears in your widgets
  • You can delete widgets anytime from your dashboard

Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access: Request a copy of your personal data
  • Correction: Update or correct your information
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your account and data
  • Export: Download your data in a portable format
  • Opt-Out: Unsubscribe from marketing emails (service emails still apply)
  • Revoke Access: Remove our access to your Stripe data anytime

Data Retention

  • Account data: Retained while your account is active
  • Deleted accounts: Data permanently removed within 30 days
  • Payment records: Retained for 7 years for tax/legal compliance
